Girl Bar | Gay Lesbian Women's Girl Nightclub Dance Bar

In 1990, Sandy Sachs (reclining) and Robin Gans moved from New York to Los Angeles, only to find lesbian nightlife a little lacking. That year they opened Girl Bar, with an emphasis on hot DJs and a sexy and very visible clientele. Not a pair to rest on their laurels, they've expanded their sapphic domain to Girl Bar nights at clubs in Phoenix and Chicago, and to Palm Springs, Calif., where they cofounded the annual Girl Bar Dinah Shore Weekend, the largest lesbian event in the world. Sachs (who was the inspiration for L Word character Dawn Denbo, played by Elizabeth Keener) and Gans's most recent joint venture is Murano Restaurant & Lounge.

Girl Bar Goes Weekly in Las Vegas

Due to popular demand, Girl Bar, LA’s premier dance club for women is going weekly in Las Vegas beginning Saturday night, April 9 at KRAVE (in the cabaret), the only gay and lesbian nightclub on the Las Vegas Strip.

This weekly edition of world-famous Girl Bar will feature great music, hot women, and the hottest go-go's ever to hit the world famous Strip at the corner of Las Vegas Blvd. and Harmon Ave.

“We are thrilled to welcome Girl Bar to Krave, weekly now,” said Krave Owner Sia Amiri.

Girl Bar Co-founder Sandy Sachs notes, “Once a month was just not enough for our girls! They demanded once a week and we are delighted to accommodate them!”

Girl Bar Co-founder Robin Gans adds, “Las Vegas is a popular get-away for so many of our members and Krave is just the class act that Vegas has been waiting for - we are excited about this new venture.”

Girl Bar, created by Sandy Sachs and partner Robin Gans fifteen years ago, is the nation’s longest running Lesbian social club. It has been featured worldwide from Marie Claire/Paris to Time Magazine and Sports Illustrated, for Girl Bar’s cooperative marketing efforts with the WNBA's L.A. SPARKS.

Girl Bar also co-produces the largest lesbian social weekend in the world, Dinah Shore Weekend, which occurs the last weekend in March in Palm Springs, CA.
